What to expect this weekend at the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and the Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre have partnered once again to bring you the Queanbeyan Multicultural Festival this Sunday March 5th.

Attracting over 8,000 visitors last year, it’s set to be one of Queanbeyan’s biggest events for 2023.

Known for its culturally packed program featuring live performances, community activities, international cuisine and unique stalls, the Festival continues to grow every year and is indicative of the diverse cultures that make up the Queanbeyan community.

‘This event is a great opportunity to learn about and appreciate our diverse community,’ Mayor Kenrick Winchester said.

‘Each year the Festival has such a warm community atmosphere and delicious food. It’s great to be able to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds through traditional dance and food.’

This Sunday, you can watch performances from local dance schools, traditional Colombian, Korean, Chilean and Chinese Lion dancers and so much more.

This year’s program also includes dance workshops to get everyone on their feet and involved in this fantastic event.
