The ‘Nats are one of, if not, THE biggest event on the Canberra calendar and 2023 will be no exception with Summernats 35 shaping up to be a revved up ride of music, mullets and good old fashion mayhem.

Summernats has been around since 1987 (geez I wish I was there that year) but for the first time in Summernats history entries have completely sold out. That means the caliber of cars is going to be off the charts.

Add in the biggest music line-up ever – including Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite, Diesel, Shannon Noll, Bliss N Eso, Stafford Brothers, and Brooke Evers, and it sounds like a super charged party to us! A group sing-along to “Horses” and “What about me?”, what could be better?

The Summernats spectator attendance record was set in 2017, with 119,184 attendees and this year the event is expected to draw in close to that figure with 100,000 spectators predicted to travel in from all over the country.

Entrants better be ready to put their pedals to the metal and burn some rubber in the world’s premier burnout competition, ‘The Burnout Masters’. It’s the crowning of the coveted ‘Street Machine Summernats Grand Champion’ and the country’s ‘Maddest Modified Street Machines’, what a bloody title to hang your hat on.

One of the highlights of Summernats is always the spectacular city cruise through Braddon and the surrounding streets of our nation’s capital. We personally are looking forward to the ‘Fashions on Field’ event that includes a ‘Best mullet’ category and we better see some Queanbeyan lads representing for us out there!

There’s many reasons to get excited about Summernats, and one reason the crowds pack into EPIC every year is Tuff Street. Here you’ll find a constant hive of entertainment, with the tough cars lappin’,  both lanes are constantly full of some of the best cars Australia has to offer, and of course located on Tuff Street is Skid Row. For the newbies this is where the cars go to rip rubber on the side of the cruise route.

So grab ya slushy cocktail and warm ya vocals up for an epic “SEND IT!” because Summernats 2023 is back with a bang.
